The Belkin Auto Kit is an iPod car charger plus it adds an adjustable amplifier audio output. What this means is that you only have to make one connection to your iPod in the car. Just connect the Auto Kit cable to the bottom Dock Connector of your iPod or iPod mini and the other end into the cigarette lighter jack. Your iPod will be powered and charged by the cable. To connect the audio to your car stereo, you can connect a tape adapter or FM transmitter to the line output jack on the cigarette lighter plug.
